Who We Are

Pou Pasifika is a national initiative co-designed by and for Pasifika youth development workers. Guided by our Moana Pasifika cultural knowledge and practices, it focuses on strengthening local and national connections, advancing professional development, providing advocacy, and supporting their wellbeing. Pou Pasifika is under the umbrella of Ola le Ola Aotearoa Trust and supported by Ara Taiohi – peak body of youth development in Aotearoa.

Connected by Purpose. Thriving Youth.

“Our Pou Pasifika launch is a significant milestone, while we celebrate it there is much work to do to equip the Pasifika youth workers in Aotearoa.”

Taitosaua William Peace, CEO of Ola le Ola Aotearoa Trust and Tanoa Steering Group Chair

“It is timely to create the solutions for our workforce by Pasifika youth development workers. We stand on the shoulders of Pasifika giants in our sector while also nurturing the next workforce generation.”

Chillion Sanerivi, National Manager of Pou Pasifika

“I’ve been waiting for something like Pou Pasifika. There is a real need for our Pacific youth workers to be equipped and feeling confident in the work they do. It will significantly contribute to our connectedness and growth.”
